Brainstorm with fellow youth leaders & educators on how you can turn your advocacy & activism experience into a solutions-oriented lesson
About this Event
This workshop will guide participants through a step-by-step process to design a solutions and action-oriented lesson plan based on a real-life case study from your own experience advocating for solutions to climate change, environmental injustice, and other sustainable development challenges, or from experiences you know about in your community.
We'll walk you through our modified Understanding By Design template that grounds lessons in the big, important ideas that we want learners to remember and feel motivated by long after the lesson is over. We will brainstorm ideas for how your lesson ideas can address multiple Sustainable Development Goals to model the intersectionality of many of the sustainability challenges we face, and highlight how creative solutions can tackle multiple challenges at once!
Completed lesson plans will be curated and shared on our new portal as part of Mission 4.7 to help make learning resources for equipping learners with skills for global citizenship and for developing solutions to sustainable development challenges.
